Started in 1956 as a Sufferance Warehouse the company operated a facility with 10,000 square feet of warehouse space licensed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), offering short-term storage and the examination of imported goods pending release from Customs. After six years as a warehouse provider, a senior statesman of the Customs Brokerage Industry introduced the founder to the opportunity to start a Customs Brokerage business. B & B Custom-House Brokerage Company Ltd was birthed in 1962, the company used the opportunity to leverage its experience in warehousing to offer Customs Brokerage to its clients. B & B became a leading Customs-House service provider in its early life, servicing mainly the South- Western area of Ontario. The company was later incorporated in 1971 by Garry Borrowman, the son of one of the original founders of the company. B & B continued to carve its way into the Customs Brokerage industry. As the industry began to be technologically driven, B & B extended its services by offering Customs Brokerage to the entire country. Today B & B Custom- House Brokerage Company Ltd. can proudly say it has the knowledge and skills to compete with the largest companies in the country, offering a professional, knowledge-based service that surpasses many in the industry.
